Preti Taneja is the winner of the Desmond Elliott Prize for her debut novel, We That Are Young, and the Gordon Burn Prize for her non-fiction book Aftermath. She won the Philip Leverhulme Prize in Languages and Literatures for her groundbreaking, experimental work. Her work is published in English and in translation around the world.

Her prose poetry is included in The Penguin Book of Indian Poets, and her writing is published in the Financial Times, Mousse, TANK, The White Review, Granta, INQUE, and Five Dials, and in anthologies of short stories, essays and literary criticism.

She is a contributor for the Palestine Festival of Literature, and a MacDowell Fellow in fiction.
